My last post on June 30th - over 3 months ago - talked about change. Well...there has been some change in my working life and it has been a little bit of an adjustment. More than I would've guessed or suspected but it's been good.
Just working to get a handle on it.
Trying to establish a routine
Wanting to stay out of "The River of Chaos".
In my previous position I often talked to store managers about the need to stay above the fray - out of the river of chaos. Now that I am back into running a store I can see how easy it is to get caught in the riptides...
Can a river have riptides?
I am discovering the River of Chaos can.
However...I know the answer...don't swim against the riptide - go sideways away from it and then you can get back to shore and start formulating a different plan to navigate the river.
Easier said then done but folks always say,
"Recognizing the problem is the first step."
I have recognized the problem...now to take that second step...
