Munnell University Screaming Weenies

Welcome to Munnell University - the home of the Screaming Weenies! 

(Thank you Emily for your contribution to our school 😀).  

Our motto - We will cram everything you usually do all day at school each day into just 3 hours.

The first 2 weeks or so of Corona nono school has been entirely unstructured and a bit hit and miss.  I'm not too worried about it but it is now time, since we won't be going back to school this year, to be a little more responsible around the instruction.

How else to become more responsible than having a white board!  Too bad it's not a smart white board...😐

We put the schedule on the white board and we will do our best to keep with the schedule.  I probably should've built in some classroom change time but moving from one chair to another at the dining table shouldn't take too long.

I'm most excited about the "every day life" section on the schedule.  This is where the students will learn how to do various things that will help them in every day life not related to "the standards" of school.  Today we are re-installing our oven door.  We took it off the other day to clean it.  The students will help me do this.  The other day we were outside digging in the dirt so we could have better access to our storage building.  They became fascinated by the grubs and worms we found.  I guess that could've been science class too.

We'll see how this goes.  I'm optimistic but also know that it's a work in progress.  I'm sure when Harvard was started they went through some growing pains too.  I just hope I can grow an endowment as large.
